7 Reasons Prayer Changes Things

Prayer is a good point of connection between you and God. It is through prayer that we commune with God on a personal level and proper fellowship takes place. However, so many people find it difficult to pray and even when they do, they don’t get answers to their prayers because of so many reasons. Today, I am sharing an amazing wisdom that will help you pray and get results. It is called the 7 Reasons Prayer Changes Things.
1.      Moses Prayed like it would actually change God’s mind (and it did).
Ex 32:11-14
Then Moses pleaded with the Lord his God, and said: "Lord, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, 'He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth'? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people. 13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them,'I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.'"   14 So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people. NKJV

2.      Joshua Prayed like it would stop the sun from going down (and it did).
Josh 10:12-14
12 Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:
"Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon." 13 So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. NKJV

3.      Hannah Prayed like it would result in her having a child (and it did).
1 Sam 1:27-28
27 For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. NKJV

4.      Elijah Prayed like it would actually change the situation (and it did).
James 5:17-18
17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. NKJV

5.      David Prayed like it would stop the plague (and it did).
2 Sam 24:25
25 And David built there an altar to the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord heeded the prayers for the land, and the plague was withdrawn from Israel. NKJV

6.      Jesus Prayed like it would raise Lazarus from the dead (and it did).
John 11:41-44
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.  42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me."  43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!"  44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go." NKJV

7.      Jesus said that we can pray like it will change situations (and it will).
John 14:13-14
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. NKJV
When You Pray, believe that God has the answers to all the things that you asked for and He will do these things according to His will for you. I encourage you to pray as if your prayer will change things around you and it will.

Two Dimensions of Healing

James 5:16
Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with.

The subject of healing is probably one of the oldest and hottest in the bible. Right after the creation of the world when Adam and Eve first sin, from that very moment, humanity was in need of healing. Healing is very important because without it no one can live a healthy life. The poor and the rich need healing. The tall and the short need healing. To put it short, every living being on earth needs healing at one point or the other.
The passage above talks about two kinds of healing that are very important: intra personal healing and interpersonal healing.
Intra personal healing is the healing that is tied to an individual and it is this individual that has the key to unlocking the abundance of healing that has been locked within.
Interpersonal healing on the other hand is two way. If flows in to an individual from another person and also flows out of you to that same person. It is an exchange between two persons who desperately need each other to survive.
From the forgoing, healing is tied to you first then to that other person. You as an individual need healing so that you can now be in a position to heal somebody. The funny thing is that most of the time, individuals feel they are fine and needs no healing while in the real sense they need wholesome healing. It is one thing to be fine and another to be healthy. But healing is the will of God for his children. If you can key into the passage above, you will receive healing.

The Most Important Secret of Life

They say that “life begins at 40” but I say that life begins when you live love and allowed yourself to be loved. The true essence of life is not in attainment of an age or a position that is enviable, the essence of life is when one live love on a daily basis. The key secret to life is: live love, live long life filled with grace.
How can you live love? You cannot live what you don’t have. So to begin with, you need love before you can live love. That is why God is love and pours out his life for us in his Son Jesus Christ so that when we receive the love of God __Jesus__ we receive grace to live love and live long life. When we receive love, then through fellowship or relationships we can live love and help establish one another to live love.
One of the major components of love is care and nurturing. When we live love, we care and nurture not only others but ourselves too. We moved from just thinking about ourselves or about others only and create a balance where our lives count as well as the lives of other people. It is at this stage that we can boldly say, live love, live life because we all receive and give love with the primary objective to bettering lives without our selfish interest impeding on it.
When we become people of love, we will receive long life because God said in his word that “I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” Ps 91:16

How To Overcome The Fear Of Death

When I was a child I use to wonder what happens to people who die and I was afraid about death. I used to hear different views about what happens to dead people and their fate. I suppose that was what colored my mind’s eye from the reality of life. So I was afraid of death talk more of me being one of such.
But now I am different. This is because life is very important and what we do with it matters a lot not just to God but also to the cause at which we were born into. It is no more how long I live but how purposeful have I lived. And so I am constantly reminded of the plight of human kind and the needs that daily steer us in the face beckoning for someone who will just care a bit and do a little discomfort to self in order to meet the needs around us.
I am no longer afraid to die. My concern daily is how much love I can allow to from out of my being to reach out and touch a brother or sister, a believer or non believer alike. Deep inside of me is stored the reservoir of God’s limitless grace that can stand firm and meet the needs that daily presents themselves as challenges.
This far the Lord has been faithful. He has blessed me with friends and families that I couldn’t have gotten on my own no matter how hard I labor for. I am grateful that these people serve as channels through which God used to inspire me more and more.
To some, I am a disappointment; to others I am a prodigal son, while to some I am a son, a brother, an uncle, a father, and a friend. Whichever place a fall on your strata I accept my fate. But more importantly, I believe I am a sojourner on a journey that is short and I do not intend to be a problem to anyone. I only want peace with my heavenly father and with all brethren.
I am glad that death did not conquer Jesus and it will not conquer me even though I sleep bodily I am alive eternally. This assurance can never be erased from my life.
As long as I live, grace, love and fellowship of the Triune God will be my watch word and will flow from me to everyone.
